DELETED SCENE
Alex and Jordan First Kiss

We’re sitting in Elle’s living room after dinner vegging out and watching movies. Victor gets up to take a phone call, he comes back looking agitated, whispers something to Elle. They both say there goodnights and excuse themselves leaving Alex and I alone.

When I first met Victor a few weeks ago at breakfast with Elle, I thought to myself there was no way in the world a guy could be any hotter than him. Then Alex Garza walked into the kitchen tonight and oh my goodness he proved me wrong in a BIG way. Alex is everything Victor is and more and if he wasn’t his brother and I wasn’t such a train wreck I would jump all over that.

“You want to hang with me and finish this movie?” His voice is deep, the richness of it has soothing qualities. The grin on his face screams mischief and the danger signs are popping up in my head. Alex is trouble, exactly the kind of trouble I would love to get into but playing my normal games with Victors older brother is not something I’m all fired up to do.

“No, you know I think I’m going to head up to bed.”

“Ahh come on, it’s still early, the night is young, plus you know what’s probably going on up there and a little house like this… I’m willing to bet the walls are thin. Do you really want to hear that all night?

Dear God he’s hot and he’s a flirt but he’s got a point, the last thing I want to do is go upstairs to hear Elle and Victor getting busy. “Alright, alright. I’ll stay”

“Good.”

“But first I’m going to get another beer. You want?”

“Absolutely.” He replies.

I shoot him a quick smile run to the kitchen, and come back with two open bottles.

“Here you go sir.”

“Thank you.” He says with a smile, takes the beer from my hand, then grabs my wrist and pulls me down on the couch with him.

“You’re the kind of girl a guy should keep close.”

“Is that so?”

“Yeah it is but it would take a certain kind of guy to get you.”

At this statement I can’t help but to laugh. “Oh and what kind of guy is this.”

“You’re looking at him.”

“And what makes you different.”

“Can’t give away all my secrets now can I?”

“No I guess not.” I say and turn my direction back to the television. He’s smooth, I’ll give him that and he is right, I’m unreachable. Untouchable by choice. My heart is guarded and that’s exactly the way I like it.

I’m startled by the feel of someone arms wrapped around me and my eyes fly open, and my breath catches. I calm my nerves a bit when I see that it’s Alex who’s holding me, we must’ve fallen asleep watching the movie. Slowly I try to extricate myself from his arms but I jostle him and he wakes up. “Hey” he says, taking me in.

“Hey,” I whisper. “I’m sorry, I must have fallen asleep on you.”

He chuckles and runs his finger along my jawline “You never have to apologize to me for that” I stare into his honey brown eyes and I can almost swear that I can see them go liquid with desire. “You’re very beautiful Jordan, do you know that?”

His voice is soft and low, almost predatory and I open my mouth to answer him but his lips are on mine before I can get a word out. He slips his tongue in my mouth and my brain switches off. I don’t care about anyone or anything, all common sense is gone and it’s just us. My arms wrap around his neck and I’m lost to him, he could do just about anything to me right now and I wouldn’t even try to put up a fight.

When it comes to my heart and my resolve, Alex Garza is nothing but trouble.

REVIEW BY STEPH

Desperation of Love is the second book in the Of Love series and can be read as a stand alone. Alice Montalvo-Tribue is an established author who weaves words into hot and steamy reads that will take your breath away.

DOL is a 5 star read!
Grab it today and wrap your hands around Alex Garza!

Jordan is a self employed web developer. She is fun loving, enjoying life and her fear of commitment keeps her from ever really falling in love. Jordan was the center of her parent's world and when that world crumbled so did her faith in relationships. She stands by her best friend as Ellie finds love and happiness, Jordan wonders if that will ever be her.

Her (Ellie) path to love gives me hope that maybe I can' get out of my own way long enough that I might be able to experience in one day. I sincerely doubt it, but certainly doesn't hurt to hope.

Alex is slightly moody, kinda hot headed and a WHOLE LOT OF MR SEX ON A STICK. He will definitely be your next book boyfriend. Alex has been a producer and tour manager for his brother for years. He is use to taking care of his loved ones. But who takes care if Alex?

“You are the best of me, you know that? Nothing in my life has ever quite measured up to what you’ve given me.”

Their attraction to one another was immediate however the relationship builds slowing and becomes extremely intense.  As they take things to the next level Jordan opens up to Alex.

"If you're waiting for me to speak words of love, or tell you that we'll be together forever, I can't promise you that I'll ever say that. But I can say that I've never felt like this about anyone. I've never wanted to try so hard with anyone. You wanted our first time to be special, Alex. This is it. Here in this house, where we met, where we snuck our first kiss, where this thing between us started."

DOL is a story about overcoming your personal demons and allowing love into your life. I had the great privilege of beta reading DOL. Alice Montalvo-Tribue is an amazingly talented author and one I will continue to follow throughout her career.
