BRING ME HOME by CASSIA LEO ~ Release Party (Review, Excerpt & Giveaway)

SYNOPSIS
The breath-taking conclusion to the New York Times and USA Today bestselling series is expected to be released August 6, 2013.

Claire Nixon is a college student with a past full of secrets and heartbreak. She was saved once by her first love, and rock star, Chris Knight. But when she encouraged Chris to leave town to pursue his dreams, both Claire and Chris didn’t realize it would be the biggest mistake of their lives.

After a devastating year apart and thousands of miles of distance between them, Claire met sexy surfer Adam Parker. With his awful jokes and profound patience, he helped Claire pick up the shattered pieces of her broken heart for the second time.

But now Chris has returned and he is willing and determined to make Claire’s dreams come true—the same way she did for him when she let him go.

With Adam’s former girlfriend in the picture, Claire finds herself torn between the new, passionate love she shares with Adam and the love and family she shares with Chris.

TEASER #5

The idea that Jackie and Rachel have been hanging out without me makes me a little jealous. But right now I’m more suspicious of this change of plans. Jackie isn’t shy when it comes to men, so ogling waiters sounds like something she would find entertaining. She chooses to stay single because she insists serious relationships are more trouble than they’re worth at her age. I’ve always had a strong suspicion that she avoids relationships because she’s afraid of being devastated the way she was when Chris’s father left.

“I’m not dressed to go out to a classy restaurant. Anyway, why are you two so eager to take me out tonight?” I ask as I open my bottle of water and take a long swig.

Jackie and Rachel glance at each other before Rachel replies. “It was my idea. I wanted to take you out to ask you something.”

“Okay, now I’m even more confused. Why don’t you just ask me now?”

Rachel sighs, looking slightly annoyed that I don’t want to play along with this suspenseful dinner date she has planned for the three of us. “Claire, you know I don’t have a whole lot of girlfriends. And I haven’t spoken to my sister in three years. You’re the closest thing I have to a sister.”

MY (Spoiler Free) REVIEW

No matter your team alliance you can't help but to love all the characters in the Shattered Hearts series. In BRING ME HOME we see their love stories come full circle. This is a 5 star read and completes this series in a breath taking way.

I loved watching Claire grow and become such a strong young woman.  In Relentless, we meet Claire after one of the hardest years she has experienced and that is saying a lot since her mom overdosed in front of Claire when she was just 7 years old.  In Bring Me Home, Claire realizes the importance of taking time for herself to heal and she is more thoughtful before sharing her emotions.

"Love is not black and white.  It's not even gray.  Love is every shade of color in the spectrum, changing with every ray of light given and stolen. Sometimes you forget how much you love someone, until you realize their smile is like a spotlight shined on your heart."

Chris is determined to win back Claire and pulls out all the stops.  Chris and Claire are so much more than just each other's first love.  They have a connection most would hope to find.  Chris takes it upon himself to rearrange his career and aligns his life to fit within Claire's.

"The universe hasn't been tossing us around, it's been tipping over on it's side to push us back together since the day we broke up. It's just taken us a while to stop fighting gravity."

Adam..... oh my yummy surfer boy Adam....  I will forever be TEAM ADAM.  He captured my heart in Relentless and that is where my feet always stayed firmly planted.

"We can't keep blaming ourselves for the moments that get away from us; those moments where nothing makes sense.  This isn't our fault"

Getting to know Jackie and her pov was a huge bonus in Bring Me Home.  Jackie's close relationship with both Chris and Claire is admirable.  She knows just the perfect time to push and when to pull back and give them space.

I truly hope you read the entire series.  It is filled with true love, heartbreak, forgiveness and individual growth.  Cassia Leo is a genuine storyteller!  I love the storyline and how it weaves the characters in and out of each other lives.  Even the supporting characters play a huge role in each of books.  I have no doubt that you will fall in love!
