SYNOPSIS
Park Reed is a bastard in every sense of the word. He hasn't always been this way. But after his heart was broken by the only girl he ever loved, being heartless gets him through the day and allows him to fill his nights with the nameless girls he has no intentions of seeing again. He now lives his life following his ever-growing list of “life lessons.”
Lucy Braden is everything Park is not. She’s sweet, caring, and an all-around nice person. She tries to follow Lucy's Rules to Live By every day.
When Park moves in with Jessie, which happens to be the floor below Lucy, Jessie's one stipulation: Lucy is off limits to Park. The problem with that is Lucy is determined to be a good friend to Park and see past the drinking and random girls to find the man beneath it all. The other problem: Park follows his own rules.

Before Now is a companion novel to Sometimes Never, and many of its characters are in Park’s story. However, it can be read as a stand-alone book.

I LOVED this book! You know you have just read an amazing book when the author can take a character, you almost hated in her first book and have you hugging your kindle and wanting more PARK. That is what Cheryl McIntyre did in BEFORE NOW! This is definitely a 5 star read! Stop, drop and read this book TODAY!
If you read Sometimes Never you got to see the good, bad and ugly side of Park. He was in love with Hope and when their relationship feel apart he took all that pain out of everyone around him. Hope and Park were so intertwined within their circle of friends that he was constantly reminded of the heartbreak at every turn.
By all appearances Park is..... well Park is an asshole and has been treating his friends badly for over a year. I promise you will LOVE Park and you will HATE him, but in the end when all his bull shit is peeled away, you will see that he is really just seeking love and acceptance.

Lucy is the modern day hippie with a heart of gold. She lives with her bff, works at a diner all while attending college. She grew up in a quirky but loving home and therefore embraces life with the same attitude. Even when Lucy's heart is broken she finds the better in people (and Park). All that said Lucy can see straight through Park's bullshit and doesn't let him pull anything over on her.

This is the third book I have read penned by Cheryl McIntyre and I have LOVED them all. Her writing is amazing and even though the stories are heartbreaking (at times) Cheryl creates characters that are witty, lovable and the banter amongst friends is truly laugh out loud funny! I look forward to reading more of her books
I can't close without discussing the cover. I am in totally IN LOVE with this cover! The model is Brandyn Farrell and he just embodies Park and all the emotions within. I downloaded the cover to my phone just so I could stare at it while reading Before Now!
