SYNOPSIS
Danika hasn’t
had an easy life. Being insanely attracted to bad boys has never helped make it easier.

One look at Tristan, and every brain cell she possessed went up in smoke. This man was trouble with a capital T. It was a given.

She knew better. Bad boys were bad. Especially for her. Considering her history, it was crazy to think otherwise. So why did crazy have to feel so damn fine?

For as long as she could remember, Danika had been focused on the future with single-minded purpose.

Tristan came along and taught her everything there was to know about letting go, and living in the present. She fell, hard and deep. Of course, that only made her impact with the ground that much more devastating.

Bad Things is about Tristan and Danika, and their train wreck of a love story. This series can be read as a standalone, or with the Up in the Air series.

MY REVIEW
I am a huge fan of R.K. Lilley and her Up In the Air series so I couldn’t wait for Bad Things! We first meet Tristan and Danika in Grounded (Book #3) and it is immediately apparent that they have a sad love story to share. Boy, do they ever…… I finished this book late last night, my brain and heart are still in a fog. The last few chapters will have you on the edge of your seat and I can guarantee that you will ugly cry! I give this a solid 5 stars!

Danika is living a low key life as a nanny and is formally trained as a ballroom, salsa, hip-hop and club dancer.  Danika is seeking love and commitment after being raised by a drug addict mother who abandoned her, whereby forcing her into the foster care system.  Danika is compassionate and sassy all wrapped up in this spunky twenty one year old package. What I loved most about Danika is she is a survivor.

“I knew trouble when I saw it, it being a very old friend of mine. Trouble for me was this nasty little self-destructive streak that I’d never quite been able to shake.”

Tristan Vega is the ultimate Las Vegas playboy.  His only commitment is to the Vegas club scene with a different woman in his bed every night.  He had his heart broken by his first love therefore has sworn off relationships and all the “baggage” that comes along with them.

Danika and Tristan have an immediate connection. That said Danika is bound to keep this bad boy at bay all while Tristan is determined to keep his heart protected. They compromise on a friendship and create The Friends Don’t List – Because I like you to much to sleep with you. Their constant attraction and flirting is oh so steamy!

“You should know that I’m too weak to resist you right now, so tread carefully, boo.” ~ Tristan

“I don’t think I’d ever been more turned on in my life as I was just from dancing with Tristan. My breath came out in little pants, every inch of my skin overheated, and not just from exertion.” ~ Danika

This is an amazing read and is certainly not the last we will hear from Tristan and Danika.  R.K. is working on Rock Bottom (Tristan & Danika #2).

I highly recommend reading the Up In the Air series.  We get a few appearances of Mr. James Cavendish and I have to say I was slightly weak in the knees just by his presence.
