RESTORE ME by J.L. MAC Blog Tour Stop (Review & Giveaway)

SYNOPSIS
Navigating the world alone is all Josephine Geroux has ever known. Life altering tragedy struck early on for her. She endured an admirable struggle through her youth and learned the hard way how to adapt and survive. She managed to arrive at adulthood in one piece in spite of it all.

After such chaos, maintaining a life free of complications is a priority for her.
Everything changed when a man with amber eyes came through her door and claimed her heart. She fell hard in more ways than one. The pull between Jo and Damon seemed like fate bringing things full circle.

With another devastating loss looming, Jo fights to hold on to the very thing that brought her to her knees. She finds herself torn between a promising future and clinging to a devastating past.
But that’s not the most worrisome problem on her hands.

She must convince more than just herself to let the past stay in the past, where it belongs, but on her journey to find closure and resolution, she does the exact opposite. An old wound caused by a heinous act becomes exposed for what it is. The truth is catastrophic and Jo is helpless, watching as the ruins of her fragile world endure more turmoil.

Can something conceived from tragedy and malice end well? Can something so completely poisoned conquer adversity? Jo is left to make a decision; accept the circumstances she finds herself in or fight with unwavering ferocity to restore what has been damaged.

MY REVIEW

FIRST if you haven’t read Wreck Me STOP what you are doing and read Wreck Me before you read this review!  AMAZON LINK FOR WRECK ME

Restore Me picks up right where Wreck Me left off. It had to right!  In Wreck Me we were left holding our hearts and praying Damon pulls through the overdose.  JL Mac defiantly likes to pull on our heart strings and boy oh boy does she do it again in Restore Me.

Josephine won me over in this book.  She has become a strong young women.  Jo opens herself up to form real bonds with Grams, Noni and Brian.

Doman recovers from the physical side effects of the overdose but is left emotionally closed off.  Jo is heart broken over Damon's overdose however she is determined to stick by his side even if it means stripping herself of all her self-worth.

"I lean my back against the door frame of the closet and slide down to the floor in a heap. Familiar hopelessness swallows me up and I let it."
"If he needs an emotional punching bag, I'll be the best goddamned punching bag on the planet."

Her love for Damon is unwavering:

“Before you walked in my life, I felt the floor crumbling beneath my feet. Then you showed up and I had something to hold onto. Let me do the same for you. Al least let me try. Please.”

Damon oh Damon how you are the ultra-swoon worthy alpha male!   We see Damon at the lowest of lows in the beginning of this book.   In her attempt to find "my Damon" Jo unearths some of Damon's childhood demons.

As the book comes to an end Jo and Damon find their way back to one another. It is heart warming to see Jo about to re-open the book store and come to grips with all the changes in her life. You will fall in love with Damon and his true soul-deep love for Josephine.

"I'd be lost without you. Josephine, you save me a thousand times a day in a thousand different ways and you don't even know it"

This book does end with a cliffhanger but one that we can live through. Accept Me (Wrecked #3) is due out sometime this summer. Will book three bring all the loose ends together and the more important question is will Jo and Damon get the HEA???!!!!
